Richard Songer announces retirement and new President appointed at Luminite Products Corporation

Richard (Rick) Songer has announced his retirement from Luminite Products Corporation after 35 years

of service and John Vosburg will immediately assume the position of President.

 

Songer started his career in 1980 as Technical Director. He was appointed President in 2001.

During his tenure, Songer has been involved in developing Luminite’s core laser engraving technology

and has been awarded a number of patents related to that technology. Songer’s leadership was

instrumental in successfully executing the construction and relocation of Luminte to their facility in

Bradford, PA, after the Salamanca, NY facility was destroyed by fire in 2010.

 

Songer will continue to serve the company as an advisor and special project coordinator.

 

Following Songer’s retirement, John Vosburg lll will assume the position of President. John began his

career at Luminite in 1980 as a Computer Graphic Technician. Vosburg has held numerous positions

within the company before being named President.

 

Vosburg is looking forward to continuing the successful legacy of his father and grandfather in

positioning Luminite as a valued supplier to the flexographic printing industry.

 

Luminite Products Corporation is a privately held corporation serving the printing industry with quality

products since 1926. Currently they supply digital direct, laser engraved elastomer sleeves, plates and

cylinders to a variety of markets, both domestic and international.
